I'm surprised at the number of people agreeing with the OP...when have we seen Canelo 'stiffen' someone in the 1st round? Also ask yourselves if that would even be a smart game plan for Canelo.

No doubt Canelo puts on a clinic if this silliness were to happen...but if anyone thinks he KO's Jorge stiff in the 1st, they should definitely put some money on it, because I suspect the odds would be pretty sweet.

When was the last time Canelo boxed someone who is as shitty as Boxing (by high level pro Boxing standards) as Mas? Canelo could murder him in a Boxing ring whenever he wanted. He hasn't Boxed someone as bad at Boxing as Mas in probably 30 fights

It will be stopped due to cuts or broken hands. Gloves are there to prevent cuts and to protect the hands, not to protect the fighters. That is head gear, which is not worn in Pro boxing.

Lol, when Floyd wasn't suffering from hand issues and fighting guy's who had rarely ever been finished by anyone at basically his walk around weight he routinely engaged in fire fights in the pocket and knocked people the fuck out.

People around here seem to have only ever seen Floyd fight in his 30s at 147 and 154 with his fragile hands. Floyd in his 20s and early 30s would have killed folks in bare knuckles or with 4oz gloves because he was lightning fast and has always been a master of controlling distance.

Not to mention he rarely uses those "pillows" (the fact you call them that tells me all I need to know about you and unfortunately makes it clear writing this is a waste of time but whatever) to block, he uses his shoulders, forearms and body position to block and minimise the impact of shots.

Of course you would know that if you weren't just parroting bullshit you heard someone else say but with that said he's also still the only man to ever hurt Canelo to the point it looked like there was a good chance another couple good shots would put him out but unfortunately old Floyd was to calculated to go for broke recklessly lunging in for the finish. He also did this while giving up 18lbs and 13 years to Canelo.

For the record I fucking love Canelo too but had to make this point.

Point made. I'm a Pacquiao fan, but no denying Pretty Boy Floyd was an offensive beast in his early career. In thr late 1990s he could fight at any distance against the elite with lighting reflexes and blistering hand speed.
