Masvidal ducking Usman is not an opinion, but a crystal clear fact

The problem with calling out Diaz and not fighting for the Title is that he looks like a mega duck. He's not gaining any fans playing it safe and frankly Diaz got murdered for 3 rounds. If he's going to fight any Diaz it needs to be Nick.

i think u are right
there are pretty convincing clues that he is about to fight diaz
imo he deserve the $ fight

A challenger can't duck a champion.

here are two facts.

Usman isn't a draw.
Masvidal can make more money fighting a non title fight against someone else.

Bonus fact 3
Usman probably wins anyway easily, but there doesn't have to be ONLY one reason for a decision. Some fighters see the title as some "fairy tale" you can have a successful career in fighting without one.

Most of this is coming from Usmans manager himself. Not to mention danas comments. People are not always dissing mazvidal by saying he is taking the smarter route. Theres a very good chance he loses to usman and or colby, and probably tyron too.

He best bet is to keep the money train rolling, play it safe with a casual fan friendly diaz fight.

Welcone to the UFC in 2020

Which is fine because he has admitted many times that he only wants money fights so he can retire in few years. He was fighting 20 years and only started recently to make some decent chedar.

Some fighters care about being #1

Imagine fighting for the “#1 spot” and getting paid less for it than to fight Nate Diaz.

Sounds like a fucking scam to me. Only an idiot would accept that.

Lol the funny thing is that usually, sherdoggers hate duckers but in view that sherdog's darling Masvidal is doing it, everybody is defending him with shitty arguments like "mArTy iZ not A drAw !"

Have we ever seen a title contender dodge a title fight ? It seems that the UFC belt is the graal for every UFC fighters except Masvidal.

MONEY is the goal for every UFC fighter.

USUALLY, the title fight gets a fighter most money.

For Masvidal this isnt the case. He is one of the only fighters in UFC history to get PPV points without fighting for an actual belt.

He made 950K off PpV to fight Diaz + 500K to show.

Why the FUCK would he fight Marty for less, when he can just rematch Diaz and make another cool 1.5 million?

These guys fight for money. Figting for a belt is a joke if you are not getting more money iut of it than for a different fight.

Get fuckinng real. He is going to take the biggest money fight available and thats Nate Diaz right now.

Its up to Dana to make sure he makes more money fighting Usman than fighting Diaz. Until that happens its a no brainer that he will take the biggest money fight.

Its those same fans who will pay more to watch him fight Diaz than Usman.

Masvidal vs Diaz sold 950K PPVs. Usman has never dreamed of selling those numbers.

The fans would rather watch a Diaz fight than an Usman fight, and the PPV numbers prove that.

Masvidal will take the biggest paying fight available PERIOD. Nothing else matters except money.

So you think he should take a paycut to fight Usman when he can fight Diaz for bigger cash?
Is there really anybody out there who wants to see Masvidal/Diaz again and will pay to watch it? Masvidal annihilated Diaz for 3 rounds. Do we need to see that again? We already saw it.

Really makes no sense unless the Nate fight is more money. Why would a challenger duck a champ? Usually it would be the other way around.

Haha you are dreaming if you think Usman vs Masvidal will sell more than Diaz vs Masvidal 2.

Casuals will pay for it easily.

Market it right with some beef this time around, have them get into a backstage brawl before the fight and it will probably break 1 million. Casuals will eat that shit up.

If Masvidal fights Nick it could maybe break 1 million. The storyline is there. Against Nate though I doubt it would be as big as the first fight. It was a total destruction.

Jorge Masvidal started fighting in the streets. If he's ducking Usman it's so he can maintain his popularity for as long as possible to secure a few big pay days before he eventually loses. He's 35 so he's pretty much at the end of his career right now. So while he might be ducking Usman it's for financial reasons not because hes' afraid.

Plenty of fans believe Nate could have made a comeback in the championship rounds.

Nate Diaz is the biggest name in the UFC other than Conor and Khabib dude.

I am telling you. Some actual beef and trash talk between them, followed by a “3 piece and a soda” and a “stockton slap” backstage will make this fight break 1 million easily.

The first one did 950K while they were being super respectful.

Turn the trash talk and animosity up for the rematch and it could definitey break 1 mil.

You're making a huge assumption
