Masvidal could definitely beat Leon

Remember when Michael Chiesa had Masvidal in danger via strikes?

Michael Fucking Chiesa.

If Leon makes the mistake of standing in the pocket trading with Mas I could see Mas catching him. Masvidal won’t fight tentative like Colby and we’ve seen Leon get caught by pillow fisted Diaz.

Mas would also have the speed advantage as we’ve seen here. I see Leon getting caught with another 3 piece

Oh shut up.

Masvidal attacked like a punk, same as he did to Colby, but lost when a real fight was on the line.

Right after his bitch "cat-scratch" flail, Masvidal was backing up like the punk that he is.

There was not one legit KO shot attempted by Masvidal, just quick flings — knowing the guards were going to break it up.

All for show.

As with Colby (whom Leon also beat), Masvidal knows he is hopelessly outclassed against Edwards.

4 fight skid. 39 years old. He's not having a speed advantage over anyone except guys with AARP memberships.
He's also in the "Hasn't won a fight since 2019 Club" along with Tony Ferguson

I mean it's MMA and anything could happen. You could bring Lawler, Hendricks or Woodley out of retirement (if they could still cut to 170, especially Hendricks) and there's a tiny chance they land a wild KO shot on Edwards. But that would be a terrible idea, and Masvidal wouldn't be much better. If there were ever a time he could go toe-to-toe with Edwards and have a chance of winning, it was 5 or 6 years ago, not now. Even then, his cardio was questionable (see the Nate fight). I'm almost certain he'd lose if it went 5 rounds to a decision. He'd have to finish Edwards, which no one has done...but Diaz and Barbarena of all people wobbled him...so i'd give prime Mas a slight chance of winning.

Why would Leon be fighting a guy who retired on a 4 fight losing streak?

I don't know, but as much flak as Colby gets, Masvidal would be a clear step-down from Colby and a slap in the face to all the Top 10 WWs.

The 3 piece is cold and the soda's flat.

That's a tall order unless you're jumping someone with your boys backing you up -
I ask that Masvidal's Cold Sore Colby experience be submitted into evidence .

I doubt it. He would more likely than not get outpointed.

Two things you should not overlook in combat sports are age and inactivity.

He’s got 0 chance against Leon

UFc giving him easy money fight to both fighters lol thats why they had beef they should fought yrs ago but now one need money and others always wanted the fight

No.

Its crazy how people hyped up Masvidal for sucker punching Leon lol.

Leon is honestly a better striker. Masvidal is primarily a boxer with some basic kicks. Leon is basic too but he is more technical than Masvidal. Leon also has a much refined kicking game.

While true, the big difference is Masvidal being 7 years older at age 39 and having twice as many fights (52 vs. 26). Masvidal's first official fight was 20 years ago and that doesn't count Kimbo's Miami underground backyard league. Age and wear would be the main factors, but I'd also pick Edwards in a prime vs. prime fight (say both of them at age 32). That would be a lot more competitive than it would now, though.
