I wanted to make Devastator so bad when I was a kid, but was missing one or two of the individual robots. One of them was like the torso or something...so it was a pretty important one to be missing.

I actually had 3 of them. They are extremely frail. I know have the takara encore reissue in the animation coolers. The new head has a visor on it like in 85 animated movie with the purple cement mixer drum, the colors is more neon yellow vs green, and all the individual bots got a repaint of the eyes to be red, and silver faces.

I don't know if it's a masterpiece or not but someone just came out with a 2ft tall Metroplex. My local game store had a couple, but they were $200.

How do you feel about how the originals, in robot mode, you can easily see what part of the car or plane or cassette player is on the robot, but in the movies, in robot mode, it looks like misc junk yard parts mushed together that you'd never guess came from a car or plane or whatever?

Never heard of them, but that's cool. I still have all my old gen 1 transformers sitting in a box, and I'm never getting rid of 'em.

I just noticed Hot Rod reminds me of GSP. Weird.
