a rise in the overall price of gas means nothing here. we're talking what the relative price gas would be if the u.s. wasn't able to go in and secure petrol. it would be much higher, especially if the u.s. had to start to rely on alternative fuels, many of which are very expensive on a grand scale. and you wouldn't spend more on anything. if you really cared, you'd just stop using your car to save yourself the moral burden of knowing your use of certain products consumes said product, raises demand, and in turn makes suppliers get more of whatever you want (e.g., gas). for now, you're just a verbal activist..."oh, i rather pay more for gas, even though i can easily stop using a given product or use a bike/public transport/alternative fuel car." either stop using such a product or man up and admit you don't really care
and black/hispanics don't benefit from affirmative action to make much of a significant difference as many never get to that level at all--that's a myth perpetuated by racist reagan fanboys. the primary beneficiaries of affirmative action have been white females and even white males (such as jews):

yeah, cuz blacks own and/or dominate every major law firm, hollywood studio, corporation, bank, and major offices like chairman of the american reserve (bernanke, yellen, greenspan, etc.,). and blacks also have their own african nations, just like israel, which have a stranglehold on american politics. also, religiously, blacks have african religious figures on major american, secular buildings (like moses). plus blacks are in charge of who gets nobel prizes, etc., etc., etc.--yea, blacks and jews, totally the same situation lulz
but i'm sure it's all a great coincidence and jews in influential positions will give all job candidates an equal shot. just like a white, southern baptist college football coach will give me, a queer jew of color, as equal a shot to start as QB as he would another white southern baptist male with a blonde girlfriend

who said the first post was actually tongue in cheek? while not written in a purely serious tone, it's the absolute truth and i admit i've benefited. just like whites should admit they benefit from being white, straights from being straight, etc. and it absolutely benefits those beyond your "1%" catchphrase demographic, or are you just that blind and envious?
look: it's simple: take an established college run by nothing but white christians (catholic, w/e)/agnostics/atheists. okay, then jews come in and earn high marks, graduate, etc. soon, they start to become the faculty itself and, like most people, favor people from their own community with similar ideas. and as the older, more established brass gets on in the years and retires, they try to make sure to leave their positions and institutions with those who've proven to have the same values. then those younger people take over. you realize this is a real process and cycle done by pretty much every group in pretty much every institution? applies to banks, churches, corporations, etc. trust me, get a job, do well in it, and you'll understand
everyone does this, but it's just despicable when jews do it, right? nice anti-semitic touch. sorry, the world is dirty and people are out for their own. just some get called on it more
