In a recent interview with The Playlist to promote "Ant-Man and the Wasp," Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios, assured the skeptical LGBT activists that future films will feature characters who are openly homosexual on screen.

"When are we getting a Gay, Bi, LGBTQ, out character in the MCU?" the interviewer asked. "Is it even in the works?"

Feige answered in the affirmative, adding that there will be new LGBT characters and at least one previously-established character who would come out of the closet. This follows previous comments made by Feige in 2015 when he told Collider that audiences will see an LGBT superhero sometime in the next decade.

We don’t know if they’ll have a “gay ray” or be able to close down a Christian bakery in a single bound, but Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) films may soon feature two “LGBT” superheroes.

Shouldn’t this be Mayberry? Who cares really? Not sure how it would fit into a movie without making an awkward unnecessary cutaway scene. Has there been much a love story to the other movies I didn’t pay attention to?


They already had brokeback mountain. That was super gross.
If we’re going to just make an existing character gay I vote the thing

This is war room material, because this is about the indoctrination of the kids that watch super hero movies.

It was the wrong thing to do.
 
Just let this happen organically. There is no need to announce and plan things like this as it seems agenda driven. Just make good movies, and if the hero happens to be a power bottom so be it.
 
I don't care if they make a supporting character gay. It's not edgy, every TV show has one. I'll be impressed the day they take the chance on a gay main character, may be a flop though.
 
Does every gender get their own superhero franchise? Marvel is going to have to make a lot of movies.
 
What happens when the straight people stop going to these movies? I go to see these movies for the action and comic side not to be forced into accepting homosexuality. People can do what they want but don’t force it onto me.
 
I fully expect Poe an the black dude to be getting it on in star wars 9.
