Watching the Rise of Silver Surfer. They made the guy a complete bum... Isn't he supposed to be a bad ass? This guy is basically as useless as Hawkeye... I bet the girl who had her arm eaten by a shark can out surf him...

He actually has too many powers if you ask me.

He's insanely strong, like hulk-levels of strength. He can surf at light speed. He can heal people from wounds. And he can shoot powerful beams of energy from his hands.

That's just off the top of my head. He has a few more that I'm probably forgetting.

But at least he's always fighting cosmic enemies in space, unlike Superman who's way OP for his territory.

Edit: here's the full list

Superhuman strength and durability
Flight with surfboard
Can travel at superluminal speed
Energy and matter manipulation
Time travel via superluminal speed
Telekinesis
Telepathy
Intangibility
Inter-dimensional travel
Invisibility
Pocket universe creation[1]
Illusion casting via telepathy[1]
Cosmic senses[2]

100% one of the most powerful non-reality warping characters in the marvel universe.
Likely could beat out really any of your heroes outside of Thor or Sentry. I struggle to put him up against a Dr. Strange or Hulk(although he teamed up with them in the defenders).

Silver Surfer versus Ghost Rider? That’s a neat match.

He was the first swiss army knife kind of hero that I can remember.

I think he became Fallen One darker colored and was worthy to lift Thor's hammer, but still got easily wrecked by Thanos and alternate timeline old man Thanos.

Honestly, he'd bitch all of them. He's stronger, faster, plus his power cosmic is basically bending reality to his will.

Beat me to it with the Power Cosmic. The D.C. version is called "Quintessence". We're talking Darkseid, Orion, and Highfather levels of power.

He could and should be able to beat most heroes and villains. He can create life ffs. His only weakness seems to be that hes a nice dude, so he doesnt usually go 100 with his powers on anyone, let alone fellow heroes.

Based on his powers, he would be able to make mince meat out of a character like Superman, but they would never write him up like that.

Like someone said, hes tooooo powerful. I used to love his comics as a kid and had a huge collection. The writers always downplayed his powers and rarely even had them on full display. He was usually trying to keep the peace.

I read this Marvel vs DC fantasy matchup article and it said Green Lantern could beat him because GL's power is only limited by the wearer's imagination. I'm not a comic nerd, so who the fuck knows? I'll trust the comic geek who wrote the article.

Darkseid is also wanked too hard. Darkseid that superman fights isn't really his true form but rather his avatar.

Like I said, Power Cosmic is basically changing reality to...well, whatever? He could make Supermans head into a block of cheese. He's honestly a stupid hero.

A good question and scenario would be....

What if Silver Surfer lost his marbles and went completely unhinged, unleashing the full capabilities of his powers? Not trying to be a good guy or pacifist.
