He surely has to be up there. He got an undeserved title shot, won the title thanks to an injury, and got KO'd by 16 fight prospect Joshua.
 
Martin would have k.od Glaskov anyway ,to much power /size. Fighting a 6'6 250 pounder who is world class could make anyones reighn as champion a short stay . Considering Joshuas is the favorite to rule the division ,its a bit much to give martin that lable when guys like Carnera of the past won his championship on a fixxed fight against Jack Sharkey.

He's definitely up there. He won because his opponent got KOd by his own knee.

Gavin Rees is up there too. Frank Bruno too and I love Frank. He's maybe more undeserving as Mccall was smashed on a non PDE in that fight, but that version of Bruno would be competitive today and would have KOd Martin too.

Seldon often gets mentioned as he seemed to imagine Tyson's punch connecting more than reality, but again, he had a decent career and would be competitive today.

And all these guys lost and came back. Martin hit the jackpot and has more than likely cashed out, so he's more a great over achiever. Good luck to him I say. I'd do the same for £4m.
 
I'm on record saying I don't think he's that terrible but he's definitely not good, that's for sure.

There is not 20 HWs that definitely beat him and I challenge you to name them. I count about 10 that certainly beat him but the rest are competitive

Martin is unquestionably the worst HW title holder ever. Him and Glaskov shouldn't have even fought for the IBF, that's Fury's belt.

If you followed boxing which you at least admit you don't, that was a reference to when they paraded all three on the pitch before a rugby game at the millennium stadium in Cardiff (again you probably don't realise that they all had belts at the same time) and said it was the start of a "golden era of Welsh boxing". Note the word start. It was funny at the time and still is. Now thanks for saying I DKSAB and am an "old timer" and go away pumpkin.

Where have I said I don't follow boxing? I'm certainly not the biggest fan but I do enjoy this sport. I guess since I don't know as much as you I'm not entitled to an opinion or to post my opinion?
I admit I had no clue the 3 of them were brought onto the pitch at Cardiff so fair play, why didn't you say you were referencing that rather than tell me to go and fuck myself in your first response?
Don't assume things either, (You probably didn't know they all had belts at the same time). If you looked at my location it says I'm in the UK. If you liked boxing at the time in this country, you literally couldn't NOT know that Enzo and Joe trained together and were loved by the welsh. Again, I wasn't aware of one time that they were all together on a football pitch, so I should 100% go and fuck myself, you're absolutely correct!

No one should post at Boxingnews24, why would you want to support the utter shite they report? The standard of 'journalism' is absolutely woeful and from what I've seen the forums aren't much better.
