Married with Children was great, but the direction and script of the show was drivel by 1994-1995. Will it work in 2014? Well, no. It would have to be done right, and we have long passed that era from a creativity standpoint.

GOAT show for virgins and basement dwellers. Show did not age well, yet somehow has a cult following from plebs looking to relive their pathetic Bud Bundy years.

The humour was borderline cartoonish, but not as embarrassing as the acting or production ( era considered )

It was such a bad show that you didn't realize if you were watching a satirical take on American sitcoms involving the dysfunctional nuclear family of the 80's, or if it was genuine. It still failed on both fronts.

It was Saved By The Bell for sophomores.

I looked on the show's Wiki page. The ratings were always terrible. the show, however, was cutting edge for its time.
