Mark Hunt = David Tua of MMA?

David Tua is 5'10 250 lbs. I thought with those numbers that he'd look like Mark Hunt. Watching his highlights, he's actually pretty lean. He's not at all fat. He looks like he's 5'10 180. His bones must be made out of adamantium or something.

Ibeabuchi vs Tua was probably one of the greatest heavyweight fights I have ever seen. I can't ever remember 2 heavies being that active in a fight. Ike was legit crazy. I remember an interview where Cedric Kushner was his promoter saying that Ike thought evil spirits were coming out of his air conditioner in a vegas hotel. Tua had the bad luck of being a 90's heavyweight. It was probably the 2nd best heavies era in boxing behind the 70's

I agree, probably one of my favourite heavyweight fights ever, the bombs being thrown, more so by Ibeabuchi, which is frightening if you think about it because usually it's Tua who just throws bombs, but not in that fight, it caught Tua completely off guard, fucking beast of a fight.

People obsess over Romero and Costa, but to me David Tua is an actual freak of nature. (He's slightly shorter than both and weighed in at around 238 pounds.)

Yeah he was a tank and his chin was beyond EPIC. Sometimes he was more fat though and still knocking guys out cold.

Do you know what I was imagining? Prime Wilder vs Prime Tua, that would be hilarious to watch, Wilder has amazing power and Tua had best chin ever in professional boxing in my opinion.. would be so interesting to watch.

Oliver McCall and George Chuvalo were both more durable than Tua.

He has been hurt and dropped, neither of those two were ever knocked down.

Its just subjective, depends on who you fight and what kind of punchers you are facing too, I don't know much about Chuvalo in regards to his opponents and fights, McCall had a very good chin though for sure,

Chuvalo fought both Fraser and Foreman. Both actually stopped him (I think Fraser broke his orbital bone) but neither could drop him. He had over 100 fights I think.

Polynesians are fat as fuck. 93% of Samoans are overweight or obese. 33% have diabetes. That makes some great athletes in rugby, football, and fighting. But it's kinda sad.

edit: I was curious and googled. The average American woman is 5'4" 170 lbs. The average African American woman is 5'4" 190 lbs. . And Samoans are fatter than that.

Yeah its true what you say, average Americans are nowhere near as big as people from Samoa, Tonga and Fiji. I used to work with 3 guys from Tonga in my old job, all of them were 330 Ibs+, they are strong as fuck though, all those 3 I worked with were fat, not muscular.. but they were all very strong. I remember when we used to all mess around and do arm wrestling just for fun, and they would beat everyone.. they pinned my arm like a Ant lol. (and at that time I was much younger and much more athletic and played basketball always, not the old me now lol)
