Mark Hamill Hates The Last Jedi

It was a good movie but they could have did better with Luke's character.

There are a few posters that scrapped their old accounts primarily, I believe so that they can build a bigger 'like' to 'post' ratio without those old legacy pre-like posts averaging in.
Surely no one is actually this pathetic????

If The Last Jedi is anything like The Force Awakens, I completely understand his point of view. I don't know how a company known for it's superior creativity dropped the ball on a project like a Star Wars follow up trilogy. How could that happen? How could Disney fuck up Star Wars?

I think the problem is the size of the investment in Lucasfilm made Disney overly cautious and the hired Abrams as a safe option whilst ignoring the negative effect his style had on Trek in the long term.

Luke in this film is really the logical continuation of Han in the last one, the character loses any wisdom gained in the originals and ends up belittled to service the plot and new characters. Problem is this just doesn't work well, it moves things too far away from why people liked the character in the first place.

They really should have gone back and watched the originals and noted the way Obi Wan was delt with. The characters shocking reveal of his failure with Vader works because he's otherwise shown to have a great deal of wisdom, here Luke is rendered so lacking in wisdom or a moral core that his failiure with Kylo isn't even that shocking.

He knows. That is the poster formerly known as John Wick.

lol

I doubt he had much say in any of his accounts getting 'scrapped' bud

Star Wars ended with Return of the Jedi.

These new movies are just really expensive Disney cash grabs.

Doesn’t Mark Hammil hate any new Star Wars movie? Look, I hate Star Wars. It sucks. But it seems like Mark Hammil is just bitter that Harrison Ford came out of Star Wars with a career and Mark Hammil cake out of it with nothing. Kind of like the story how Ford gets the chick and Hammil realizes the girl he wanted to hang was his sister.

They should just give the films to the people that make the computer games.

In Hamil's case I think it was much more a personal choice though, granted he might never have been a star on the level of Ford but he could probably have had a much bigger mainstream career if his heart had been in it, post SW though I don't think it was.

dennis reynolds doesn't have feelings or care about things it is a running gag that he is a sociopath.
Ahh ok thank you for helping with my ignorance and sorry for making you explain a joke LOL

He seems more annoyed with the fan base, than the movie itself. Like he doesn't understand why people take it so seriously, and finds questions about the character, like he's actually Luke Skywalker, a bit ridiculous.

He generally seems irritated at the entire process, and probably hates PR tours. That's my take, anyways.

lol at him laughing about killing Gungans.

I like Hamil and he makes me laugh, but he's clearly drunk off his ass in most, if not all, of those interviews.

The most passionate he got was when talking about what he felt should have happened with characters.

I'm sure he's grown tired of fan expectations over the years but the man clearly had an attachment to the character and these films and you can see he's very unhappy with the direction they went in.

I have a feeling the initial meetings with him were basically "...yeah the entire thing is basically about Luke, what happened to him, and how he ushers in a new era. You're totally gonna be the centerpiece and have major input too. Now here, sign this 879 page contract with Mickey on it......"
