i've watched mma since 2005 and seen some cecil peoples-esque shit and the mario yamasaki thing is not one. The chick was undefeated and was never taking any serious shots. Remember, this is WMMA, so it's like your little cousin hitting you; not a big deal. The only real trouble she was in was when she tweaked her knee but the ref didn't know about that. Could it have been stopped sooner? Well yeah, but then someone would bitch about that, too. Should it have been? that's up to the ref, not us. why don't you armchair warriors go to referee school and get a referee degree and a job in refereeing and then maybe your subjective opinions might not equate to wampum, till then shut up. Mario is one of the better refs and one of the few that has made it into the ufc video games, so i mean, at this point he's a legend fam

It's not up to Dana. He can file a formal complaint on behalf of the UFC but that's about it. The ref's are independent of the UFC.

Having watched the fight a couple times after I heard about the reffing issues, it wasn't the beatdown I was expecting. I saw it in HD.

Cachoeira was getting hit a lot, but her arms never went limp and her eyes never rolled back in her head. She wasn't even close to getting knocked out by pillow fist Shevchenko. Mario made the right call and Dana White needs to STFU.

Mario could have avoided some criticism if he had just stated some facts about Cachoeria's condition instead of coming up with that "warrior" crap.

The refs work for the government and all Dana can do is threaten to take the business away from that city, you know blackmail type shit to get rid of a ref but he can not storm into his office Monday morning and fire any refs.
