I am a bit 50/50 about it. Though, I think Goddard was right.

Goddard is a hero to me. Nothing beats this when an MMA fighter picks a fight with Goddard.

It looked like a closer call than he was saying

Eh, how many times have we seen elbows like that - landing on that same spot - not get called?

very good job those where very clear and intentional too if the fight continued hope goddard took 2 points for this
By the looks of it the guy on the floor milked it to no end, im not saying they didnt hurt or were not illegal, Goddard was in the right, point is, most fighters when they know the ref will call the foul intentional and not accidental they know they are in for a W they will do what they have to do to get the fight stopped and win, or at the very least a NC if they are deemed accidental, there are the odd case where a fighter is losing the fight and it goes to the cards cause the ref calls them accidental and out of the sudden they are ok to fight now they know they are not getting away with the Win or NC but on their way to an L.

It's tough to tell from angle of the replay, but it does look like the first one goes to the area on the back of the head/neck.

What's strange is most refs almost always let you hit them once in the back of the head and then yell out "back of the head" as you are doing it so you adjust your strikes.
Defends on the situation. That guy is in full control positionally and the opponent isn't doiing anything to effect the target area. He is aiming for and hitting the back of the head. Top that off with potentially illegal 12-6 elbows for the cherry on top. No need for a warning should go straight to a DQ.

Mark Goddard is the second worst ref in the UFC after Mark Smith. Both of them routinely stop fights early, and incessantly talk to the fighter while he's fighting.
