I enjoy watching ONE cards, and the Friday morning shows might even be my favorite thing in combat sports since they started. Yet, I wouldn't mind at all if the promotion fell apart and the fighters were able to get contracts elsewhere.

The only real loss when ONE does eventually implode, is that I can't see any other promotion treating women's mt/kb as seriously as they have.

Not really. ONE is about high level Muay Thai and kickboxing. KC is about weird karate based rules, that they keep changing.

I love KC, they do not have weird rules just growing and changing. Though will never get used to that pit. One is mostly not high level MT, if you want good MT then watch RWS: Rajadamnern World Series.

Not really. ONE is about high level Muay Thai and kickboxing. KC is about weird karate based rules, that they keep changing.

All are about moderately well payed stand up fight with kicks. It is so much niche, then lets not pretend it aint interchangeable. I don't follow Karate Combat, watched very few fights and I still remember Daniels and Schilling. Contender level glory kickboxing(higher level at heavier classes than One) and multiple world champions in Muay Thai and Karate and some succes in MMA/Taekwondo.
They go for the same fighters.

The KC guy is also scummy.

As I see, everyone is. Still Chatri seems like being execpetionally one.

Right now, the problem with OneFC is that they cannot afford to give two fights per year to every fighters on their rosters.
Why ? Probably due to lack of fundings I guess and being mostly focused on Kickboxing and Muay-Thai.

One FC is possibly a trap indeed, they can keep you inactive for two years for no reason and never giving you any fights nor any cents, and prevent you to leave, to the extent that it will be impossible for you to make it to an other organization.

Actually, One FC has signed a dozen of prospects, most undefeated, Shamil Gasanov (15-1), Alibeg Rasulov (14-0), Shamil Erdogan (10-0), Sanzhar Zakirov (12-0), Akbar Abdullaev (11-0), Yryskeldi Duysheev (11-0), Khalim Nazrulloev (10-0), Suleyman Suleymanov (10-0), and many others.

It will be bold to say that there is no future in One FC, but it will be naive to believe that history won't repeat itself.
Let's hope for the greater good, Chatri better handle all these young blood and make them active.

I was saying this for a long time, ONE has interesting fighters under contract. But they just can't seem to make them fight regularly. It is just a bad look overall, especially if by Chatris own words you are supposed to be fighting for the number 1 MMA org spot.

I honestly could do without all the weird shit ONE does, like that apprentice show I never watched but saw like a million times advertised. If ONE just did smaller shows with smaller contracts and waited until they had somewhat competitive divisions this could all be avoided but they tried to go "big" too fast and showed clear favouritism to certain fighters.

It would be sad to see ONE go, as they have great MT and kickboxing fights but at this point I think if K-1 or Rizin would be to absorb the majority of ONEs talent pool, I think they would do a better job.
But then again K-1 fails to even have streaming options for non Japanese fans so cannot be sure about that either.

Why are people still calling it ONE FC? It was renamed to ONE Championship years ago.

Everything you said is 100% correct and relatively known. There’s several other fighters aside from Bibiano who’ve said this. It’s not groundbreaking news and most folks who follow combat sports outside of the UFC bubble know this.

I thought ONE was interesting for having different kickboxing rulesets using 4oz gloves

Then it became clear that they don't really care about anything except MT, and Karate Combat are pretty much doing the Kickboxing ruleset with 4oz as well, in a more entertaining way.

To ONE's credit though, they put on some bangers over the years. Svirid vs Bigdash was a classic, and Haggerty's fights are always entertaining
