That KO was sketch to me. No doubt Manhoef has bombs in his hands, but that grazed punched followed by Marshall somehow being able to cover up after being unconscious seemed strange to me.

Just because he faceplanted does not mean he was supposed to be unconscious. That's just how he fell. Whether he gave up or not, only Doug knows but he took a shot. Like when Nick Diaz faceplanted vs. Daley..he wasn't out cold even if for a second it looked like he must've been..was the sequence staged?

It's not really a "sketch" ko given the fighter and spot, and even if it didn't genuinely hurt him badly, that would be Marshall looking for a way out of the fight, not any fixing which some people are always desperate to find. Marshall was legitimately scared of Manhoef, as a lot of fighters are. He was nervously reaching to touch gloves long before the ref asked for it. He was looking for mercy from no mercy.

So I guess you guys agree that Doug took a dive or looked like he gave up from a grazing shot and not being unconscious. Dude got right back up and looked totally fine literally when the fight was stopped.

EDIT: okay maybe he didn't get right back up after the fight was stopped :/ but it still looks fishy damn it

The punch Melvin landed, whether behind the ear or to the back of the head is just the right spot to send somebody face down. What looks like a "graze" on camera, aint a "graze" to the guy getting hit behind the ear by one of the hardest hitters in the history of the division.

Exactly. We've seen a lot of fighters go down from a punch at that same spot. Think Brock vs Couture. And coming from a guy like Manhoef it's no surprise it put Marshall out
