Man Runs Over Abolish KKKolumbus Day protesters

You just gave me a great idea. Fill a secondary washer fluid reservoir with pepper spray, with the washer fluid pump hooked to a momentary switch like we use for nitrous oxide purges, and the nozzles in the grill. Neanderthal fucktards get in front of the truck in traffic, spray till the fools go away.

Like this. But with pepper spray instead of nitrous oxide.

these are split second decisions, a scene like this could escalate very fast if you react. Kid reacted, I dont have an issue with it. There's history behind these stop and go violence episodes with the drivers being badly hurt. Reginal Denny? Juneteenth attacks, never take a scene like this lightly. I recall in high school a friend of mine was confronted the same way, but really just over gang violence type of deal. He didnt run over anyone, but did pepper spray a few of the guys blocking his path. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

kid basically wanted to risk his life and get lippy with a mob of what, 30 ppl?? rev your engine at them and lurch your truck?? you think its ending well with that approach??

Goes both ways, no? They could've just stepped aside, instead of getting lippy and risking their lives with a guy driving a truck.

you could but the ppl are already there and obv not moving. threatening them isnt going to help the situation.

infact, it can only make it worse where you get killed or you have to kill others.

cool, a real conversation about it.

if you listen, the guy tells him "go around". the driver never tried just saying "ok, let me back up and leave" and defuse the situation. it wasnt like it was the only bridge to get out of town being blocked.

It ended well for him, not for the protesters though.

we will see, im thinking he has a ton of legal bullshit to go thru. civil and perhaps criminal cases etc.

me, i would have gone around when i saw the protesters from afar or tried to defuse if i didnt by offering to go another route. i would have gotten to my destination slower but saved way more time, $ and aggravation in the long run.

doing what he did would be my last resort. not my 1st.

He stopped a few blocks away and called the cops to report it. That could work out in his favor, but the articles all over the web are already calling it a hate crime. I doubt he will be walking away from this without jail time.

And surrounding a truck, with a threat to "beat his ass and to tear you out of the car" is going to end well?

Is the onus on the truck driver to move? Roads are meant for cars, not people.

If we did try to defuse the situation, would the crowd have listened? They are antagonistic from the beginning. They yelled at him to get out. Do you think the same thing wouldn't have happened if he reversed, i.e. hitting people behind him?

article?

They were both threatening each other, so I can't hold one more responsible than the other. Guy was getting swarmed pretty quickly. I really don't know how I'd react either, if I felt my life was in danger, and all I had to do was hit the gas to get the fuck outta that situation.

watch the vid again. none of that happened til he rev'd and lurched his truck at the crowd 2x. you can even hear one guy telling him to "go around".

To everyone saying he shouldn't have run them over and should have backed up.

How would you feel if he was pulled out of the car and then Reginald Denny'd?

Exactly.

You'd probably do the same thing if you were in his situation. Don't lie.

Reverse? I saw no only blocking the rear

Risk his life? I thought you said this was a peaceful protest.

I'm guessing these people didnt pass basic physics class in high school. Quick calculations of f=MxA will let you know you're on the losing side of the traffic blocking equation.

you wouldnt try and defuse?? tell them to let you back up?? you would get lippy instead, rev your engine and fake like you are going to run them all over??

come on, son.

Putting the hate crime label on it is click bait.
BLM thinks it's a hate crime every time a black person gets a parking ticket.

If I was at a point of no return with the dispute, I might rev my engine as a warning for them to get the fuck out of the way. Especially when I'm getting swarmed by tough talking thugs, who might not give a shit if I try and defuse the situation. I don't know what they're thinking, and spending one more second there, might get my ass dragged out of the vehicle and shit kicked.

Personally, I wouldn't even try to drive through them in the first place, but it is what it is for that guy.

In a situation like this I would just back up if there is a way to get around as nothing else is worth the hassle.

Now if I got there I might have blown the horn to see if they were going to move if they didn't I would have tried to back up.

However if you surround my truck to try and stop me because you didn't like that I hit the horn or whatever I'm going to do what I think I need to defend myself.

you are better than this. at least, i think you are?? dont give me underhands to smash out of the park.

he had no way of knowing if it was peaceful or not. anybody with a brain knows getting confrontational with a large group of upset ppl is prob not a great idea. mocking use of a deadly weapon against them is an even worse one.

Yes, I hear that. But go around where? The people still would have been blocking the street so he can't go this way. It looks like he is at an intersection, so he could have gone that way, I admit.

That being said, impede traffic without a valid protest permit or reason, and violently threaten the person, shit like this happens. I hope he doesn't get charged with anything, and if he does, I hope he is found not guilty.
