It's about how Kal El/Superman becomes Clark Kent.

Sounds like a wild idea but hear me out.

There's been this belief that Clark Kent as a meek reporter is the real costume and Superman is the real person. Bill even explains this in detail in Kill Bill volume 2.

Man of Steel shows Kal El growing up, not feeling like he fits in, anxious to use his powers for good, but has always been a loner, outsider, aimless.

A bunch of stuff happens, he finds his clothes, information on his origin, and he also finds his purpose. He then finds a disguise so he can fit in with the daily life in Metropolis at the very end of the movie: meek Clark Kent the reporter from Daily Planet.

Sounds sort of like David Carradine's point at the end of Kill Bill 2, no? It was a cool scene. Don't really remember too much. Kill Bill is not my favorite Tarantino. But yeah your point sort of immediately made me think of his monologue there.

I always thought Cavill's Kent was hilariously just sort of a cool dude. The way Cavill and Snyder and co. characterize him, he comes across as some cool guy with a solid enough job, decent money, goes to the gym with his girlfriend, hangs out with her at some brewery during the weekend afternoons with their other couple friends. None of the aw shucks, awkward qualities that Reeve sold so well as a way to distinguish Kent from Supes so that no one would ever make the connection.

I thought Clark Kent needed a decent paying job so he could afford to pay rent, electricity, gas, and sewage bills.

Living in Metropolis ain't cheap ya know!

So another thing. In the JL Snyder Cut Swanwick is supposedly revealed to be J"onn, the Martian Manhunter.

Swanwick was also in both Man of Steel and Superman. He saw all the chaos and destruction happening. Was good Ole John too busy to get involved?

I mean, we all know it couldn't possibly be that Snyder and Co made a last minute decision to use him as MM in Justice League. That's some George Lucas level Darth Vader killed your father, BTW Darth Vader is your father making it up as we go along shit.

No! Every nook and cranny of the Snyderverse was fully planned out from the beginning. Snyder made Sucker Punch.. all his movies are 100% logical.

Why didn't John roll up his sleeves and fight some Kryptonians?
