This Saturday, Polish-Chechen MW beast Mamed Khalidov (34-4) will defend his KSW title against Tomas Narkun (14-2) in one of the best MMA slated fights for this weekend.

Some facts about Khalidov:

- He is a 2-weight champion in the KSW organization.
-Has not lost a fight since 2010.
-He is 30-1 in his last 31 fights.
-Has wins over Matt Linland, Jorge Santiago, Igor Pokrajac, Luke Barnatt, Melvin Manhoef, Kendall Grove, James Irvin, Maquiel Falcao and others.
-Has got the finish in 30 of his 34 victories.
-Has 25 first round victories.

Would you have liked to have seen Khalidov perform in the UFC?

At 37, is he too old now to make a run if they did sign him?

Too old and too well paid at KSW

I’d love to see him sign but he would lose just as many as he won in the UFC. I’d rather that one Russian MW who was like 24-2 last I saw

Think the last thing 185 lbs needs is another dude pushing 40 clogging up the arteries.

Given that Captain Boomerang was able to win the UFC HW Title in his mid to late 30s, anything is possible, and at worst we get to see a few more exciting HW matchups before he retires. He was a very special fighter in his prime, but I don't think he has the defining wins he needs to go down as a true great and that is a shame.

Been a fan... but hard to judge how well he would do in the UFC when all he does is crush cans elsewhere. But a good record is a good record.

Well I think that would depend on who exactly he was fighting the MW division. I think he'd have top 10 potential for sure. Cracking the top 5 - maybe not. Bisping is ranked #6 though so you never know.

Not sure which Russian you mean but there's plenty of guys in Russian MMA that I would love to see crossover. Unfortunately in most cases the money isn't there. It's a shame the UFC doesn't have guys like Minakov, Kunchenko, etc.

No, he looked like garbage in one of his KSW wins and was gifted the win.

I don't think he is defending the title, I think it might just be a main event fight.

He’s too old and KSW pays him well

He’d end up like Lombard most likely

When I first started to watch MMA I thought he was Gerard mousasi

Ah the monthly Mamed thread.

I like the cannibal but can't see him in the ufc at this stage.

I want to see him vs Mousasi in Bellator

About five years ago yes. Can't blame the guy for going after the money though.

I dont think its gonna happen, but sure. Hes a good fighter, why wouldnt I want to see him tested against the best?

In the future, guys like him will be signed by ACB earlier in career than KSW would consider signing them. KSW with their 4 events yearly approach had luck that there was nobody poaching talents earlier and able to keep them.
