If he fights against Stipe maybe, I could see him break Stipe mentally. But I would give him a 50/50 chance. Against Overeem or Cain, his chances are slim IMO. He could very well take them down and win the first couple of rounds. But I don't think he could sustain it over 5 rounds / 25 minutes. He would need to finish those guys early. I don't like his chances.

I would rather see him fight AA/Barnett winner for his next fight.

He only wins the title again with the right matchup.

Not bashing him. He is definitely talented and is top 10 but a few of the beasts at the top drop him.

It is possible for him to regain the title (especially if he is given a quick shot like in the past) but a number of HWs would still be favorites over him
