this is the fight it made the most sense, it was carlos or nick, maia needs a big name, both of them have it, Im just glad Dana didnt throw JH to hm, that wouldve been a very tough fight for demian.

i'm hoping maia gets condit down and chokes him, but carlos is dangerous as hell.

and i don't want to see carlos lose, either. he should be champ right now, damnit!
 
Condit is very dangerous off his back, but I think Maia has this if he can close the distance. You can be sure Condit is coming to fight on the outside.

Sadly even if he wins, I think Josh Thompson will get the next shot.

He's a LW and out of the UFC.

Beating Conor in WW doesn't mean Nate is the gatekeeper for the WW division.

Even if he's the 1st person to stop Nate.

WB is a locked for the next title shot, Maia will have to sit and wait after he defeats condit.

It's sad. Wonderboy should have been fighting next for the title...then Maia.

This Woodley fight, which should never have happened, messed up the whole timeline.
 
Good fight. I see Condit getting taken down in the first, but maia doesn't get finishes right away and he seems to fade a bit in rounds 2 and 3. He's still good if he can get in on a single, but the setups tend to disappear and the shots come from farther out. Condits striking is nasty so I could see him landing a good knee... Could go either way but I'll be rooting for the backpack!
 
Dangerous fight for Maia, or anyone really. On paper, he has the perfect game to shut Condit down, but as long as he's breathing Condit is dangerous. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna wear out the edge of my seat as long as it goes.
