Lawler would make him look worse than Rory did, though. Just imagine that TD attempt in the 3 round he couldn't get, but for 5 rounds

what makes you think he wont get it in the first 2 rounds?

Dem Fundamentals tho...

Maia is the kid in your BJJ class constantly drilling basic guard passes no one talks to, while the rest of us are attempting Gogos, Jiu Claw, and other low percentage techniques simply for "style points".

It's funny that Stann was listing the best grapplers during the Maia fight and said Jake Shields (who was the last man to beat Maia) at his own game @ that.... (Can someone explain to me why Jake Shields was released??)

Except when he runs into guys like Rory MacDonald or Jake Shields, then, he turns into a very aggressive butt-scooter.

War Maia, it is so impressive how he continues to do this.
However, in this fight there was a slightly scary moment in the third, he looked tired there for a second, a 5 rounder with a durable opponent could be a tough night for him.

I really hope he proves me wrong.

Lawler TDD. I guess you didn't pay attention to his fights with Rory and Hendricks.

If demian could take shields down, he can take robbie, Im talking about the first 2, if robbie survives, then demian will be in big problems.

demian has better tds than both of them.

Because he was beating more marketable fighters all of the time.

Worse, in my opinion.

He went in there tonight and he might just as well have said, "Look here, Matt. What I'm gonna do, see, is I'm gonna take you to the ground, then I'm gonna take your back, and then I'm gonna stay there until I manage to choke you out. And if I don't manage the first round, I'll do it all over again in the second. And If I don't manage the finish in the second, I'll do i all over again in the third. You don't bother worrying about anything else, because that's what I'm gonna do. Take you down. Take your back. Choke you out."

And then he just went right out there and did it, and there wasn't a damned thing Brown could do about it.

That's like a major league pitcher yelling out his pitches before throwing the ball: "Fastball, up and in. Curvball over the outside corner. Slider, outside and off the plate." And the he goes out there, throws the pitches he said he would, and strikes everyone out anyway.

That is some high level, voodoo BJJ shit.

At least Royce's competition have the excuse that they didn't know what in hell he was up to.

Naw. I mean, yeah, Maia may well be able to get Robbie down, but Robbie's TDD is better than Jake's.

this guy´s BJJ is nuts, makes it look so easy

no is not, I dont know where this motion of robbies spectacular tdd comes from, hes been taken down by pretty much everyone he faced, included taken down and subbed.

Yes he has improved, but if maia clinches with him, hes going down.

he is very skilled on the ground for sure.

Ugh. I said Maia may well take Robbie down. I just pointed out that his TDD is better than Jakes. Jake is a very special BJJ player, but there's nothing particularly special about his TDD.
