Mahammad Ali getting smashed at IBJJF Austin Open

I just watched his match on Youtube on the recent IBJJF Austin Open, he got SMASHED by this other black belt I never heard of.

In way this was truly inspirational. Ali had just won gold at Worlds and here he is a few months later getting dominated by a black belt I never heard of. It just made me realize even the best in the world sometimes have a bad day in the office, and can still be the nail to someones hammer on any given day.

Anyone else watch this match? Were you surprised how utterly lost Ali was? Did he just get tired? At one point he wasn't even making any grips with his one hand

I watched it hours ago. I had no idea too who this Max Gimenis guy was before seeing the video.. almost shocking, Ali was on the defensive for all the ten minutes, it looked like he had nothing on Gimenis here. He probably was dead tired but it's still strange and impressive to see a current World Champion getting dominated like in his weight class.

Oh well. Props to Gimenis!
