This is what happens when you appease a racist, radical leftist horde.

Pretty soon no ultimatum they can dream up is too unreasonable, and no fear that they may turns their ravenous hatred on you is unjustified. Gotta get ahead of it. Too bad. You already showed weakness, and the sharks smell the blood...

Fuck your gesture of understanding and empathy. You still have a job, bossman. It's not enough.

The guy who made Invoke Prejudice is literally a Nazi tho...

Easily the most controversial artist ever under wizard's employ and they cut ties with him ages ago for that reason. The magic community has been griping about this guy's cards for sometime, especially Invoke Prejudice.

"Looking at it in context, “Invoke Prejudice” probably should have been removed years ago. Ordered alphabetically and by release date, the card has been assigned the ID 1488 in Gatherer"

I’m just waiting for when they totally turn on the entertainment industry and academia. That would be so hilarious.

Sengir Vampire was the staple in decks.

At the time it seemed like everyone was playing black vampire decks. Ihsan's Shade was another card I saw a lot of. I remember attending a tournament one time thinking I was going to kick butt with my black knights, Ihsan's Shade and Baron Sengir and then getting destroyed by a blue control deck using Stasis. The guy ended up winning the tournament. It definitely changed the way I thought about and played MTG. Up to that point I thought blue was full of useless cards.

It will happen quickly. You already see the seeds of it with how fast cancel culture hits any star, and how many protests happen on campus. As the cultural revolution takes off, eventually thesr people will stoned in the streets.

will the “racist” cards become rarer and more valuable now?

Two things conservatives care about now: Crossfit and MTG

No, he wasn't "literally" a Nazi. The illustrator happens to be a racist, but this is irrelevant. The card itself isn't advocating for the Nazi platform. It's referencing a post-Nazi history (the KKK) with its imagery to articulate the thematic nature of the spell. This is no different than cards with imagery of torture or evil demons. Often the spells are evil, yes. There are goblin cards that invoke terrorist bombers or kamikaze pilots.

Besides, if that is the concern, then they should have revoked all of his cards years ago-- not just this one. Meanwhile, remove the cards illustrated by anyone who was ever a Communist or supported Communists; anyone who was supporter or sympathizer of an extremist or terrorist group like Hamas/Hezbollah/ISIS, or perhaps even eco-terrorism like ELF & ALF; anyone who was the member of a gang like an MC club or the Mexican cartels; anyone who had a serious criminal past.

These are the only pro-censorship posts that even pretend to offer a justification, and both predicate their argument on the all too commonly abused "good business" rationale for the insanity we've seen from trembling corporations caving to this intolerant leftist mob. The problem is they forget to demonstrate how the existence of these cards contributed to bad business. They've been around for decades. Is there an iota of evidence Magic: The Gathering been struggling due to a consumer boycott of their cards over insensitive imagery? Of course not! The company has been doing phenomenally well:
'Magic: The Gathering' Leads Hasbro's Second-Quarter Earnings

Do not be mistaken. These misguided arguments and personal attacks betray their support for the most vicious and irrational casualties of this purity test-- this witch hunt. It's precisely this ignorance which boils the frog. One can mock this, but obviously one can't logically defend it, and that speaks to something sinister festering even in the most seemingly trivial stories laid as collateral in the wake of this snowballing monster. If you don't confront it before it's too late, soon it's too large to be stopped, and you are merely fuel to be consumed as its madness motors on.
I was being facetious. I should probably have put in a

Look the thing with fantasy that does not deviate much from the Tolkien fantasy world is it tends to be racist. I read somewhere that Hitler was trying to fund Tolkien to design a theme park in Germany or something. It's not something recent with the accents as has been implied it has to do with Tolkiens inner fantasy world and his cultural influences.

It's only once you get outside the 'races' in fantasy can you get rid of the racism in it. There's fantasy that does this but the genre is dominated by Tolken type fantasy. Game of thrones did a good job of doing away with it as an example.

The issue is a company like magic the gathering would rather avoid that topic by 'race washing' their company with a token gesture like that. If you peel it apart that is the issue. These big companies are 'race washing' their companies to avoid the deeper structural issues of race and classism like the brown skinned child workers working in near slave like conditions in some 3rd world country making all our shit.

At the end of the day this is a card game. This isn't a top priority or one of the most pressing issues facing humanity. I didn't say that it was. Yet, it's important to pay attention to what stories like this signify. These aren't isolated headlines. We have been inundated with similar stories in the past few weeks, and the worst are quite appalling; like the suspension of Sacramento Kings announcer Grant Napear.

Yet observe the comments of the hostile leftists in this thread who implicitly or explicitly support this action. Notice what it reveals about them, and the fact that they are willing to enable this despite knowing it isn't justifiable-- no matter how trivial.

Off-topic strawmen.

Ad hominem. Not even attempting to address the topic or form a counterargument.

Those were a whole lot of words to not say shit.
