Because as great a campaigner as Trump was, he was utterly clueless about how to wield political power.

Which actually contributed to why his presidency was so great: He didn't do much. No new wars, no insane new social programs or taxes.

A lame duck President is the best case scenario. Especially if you have gridlock in the Senate and House.

The less government does, the better.
