Weight doesn't equate to strength. And I'm not discounting Dern's grappling. I think Tecia will be the faster and possibly stronger of the two. And she may be smart enough to not try and give Dern a chance to pull off a sub.

I agree you with on the speed, neutral on the smarts (Dern is no idiot) but gonna disagree on the strength
World class grapplers are known to be unnaturally strong

Mackenzie is big for 115 and Tecia should be fighting at Atomweight. I believe, even with Tecia's speed, that Mackenzie will get her to the ground at some point and finish the fight.

This is also my take. Tecia looked physically strong, even against fighters like Zhang, but the bottom line is this is a flyweight vs. atom weight match up. Somehow, some way, Dern gets it to the mat where her size and strength will overcome Torres...like a Python. Tecia pieces her up on the feet for at least half a round to start the fight though.
