I feel like Anders could have bullied Machida against the cage and opened up at any point and really hurt Machida but seemingly doesn't want to throw much offense at all.

Clearly no faith in the gas tank.
 
He doesn’t seem to take punches as well as he used to. He overreacts to them too.

Maybe. Anders has 0 fight IQ. He had Chida rocked twice and immediately went for the takedown on both occasions. He might be running out of gas.

Machida using footwork to dance around, occasionally throwing a punch here ...a kick there. Anders has octagon control and won't throw a single punch. Seems to be waiting for a killshot a la Sam Alvey.

Anders got horrible boxing, horrible wrestling and even worse fight IQ . how the hell did this guy stay undefeated ?

Btw machida should retire ASAP
