In regards to me bringing up KZ when talking about Islam: KZ is good, but if you're a goat and half of your title defenses are against guys that KZ finished and half your title defenses are short notice, then you're probably not THE goat.

Just got to clean out the money fight gate keepers clogging the top 5. Make them take fights with contenders, stop them from fighting each other over and over again. It’s stupid boring and it sucks for Islam to have nothing better to do than fight featherweights.

Bunch of bullshit. Fiziev is a god damn featherweight. There’s way too much idling about with emergent talent in the top 15 just holding their place so Gaethje, poirier, Chandler and Oliveira can make their retirement nuts. Pay them to fight their gravediggers already. I like them too, but it’s simply not fair.

That was the great thing about pride’s tournaments. They thru the emergent talent right into the fires and a few standards would end up out with dark horses deep in. It allowed for talent to break out fast. This 8-10 fights to a title shot idea is the bane of the utc’s progress.

He can "call his shot" as long as he doesnt think he gets to demand a title shot. When you lose in embarrassing fashion against Islam, you really need to do a lot to make a rematch viable. Losing to Tsarukyan and then beating a washed Chandler doesn't earn you a title shot.

Facing Ilia in a number 1 contender fight would earn him a rematch, but he doesn't want that. Arman has also publically called for a Charles rematch and charles was quiet as can be when that happened because he wouldn't want to be beaten again by the same guy.

Charles is not at fault. His last fight was advertised as a number one contender fight. Remember how ridiculous people thought it was Chandler to get the call?

And is was because the champ (or better his team) wanted to fight Chandler, just like they talked about fighting Gaethje if he would have beaten Hooker. Can’t really blame Charles here.

pretty sure he has been saying illia still has work to do at 145 and needs to do something at 155 before a title shot.
