Chin gone ... No defence. He would be risking it by continuing. Might be in best interest to call it.

Maybe I'm just interpreting it wrong but dosent seem like he was referencing weight cuts with that quote. I read as him saying up until the recent jaw break and the teeth issue with Yoel he hadn't had as much as even a cut(to his skin) before them. But maybe I'm just interpreting it wrong. If I am right though it lines up with his thinking of why now is a good time to retire where before he would be mostly unscathed,but now is receiving legit injury.
 
Not going to lie, I thought he already had retired.

Time has caught up with him, like it does to every athlete eventually.

he sacrificed his memories to give us some unforgettable ones.
 
All the respect and props for how far Rockhold went in his career here as brutal way to make a living and aspire to greatness. Should he fight again, NO, absolutely NO and walk away, no run away. Has had his brutal injuries, his weight issues, his chin exposure issues, etc but now it is time to enjoy being a handsome, rich, and Ex MMA fighter.
 
Sheet..I am one of few who liked Luke Rockhold.
But come on man just because you can bang chicks and be arrogant, it shouldn't mean to bring that arrogance to the octagon.
 
Well, I never ever liked or rooted for the guy, but I did enjoy watching him fight. Shame he was so cocky he wouldn’t keep his hand up. For someone so talented, you’d think he’d drill his defense in and out, clearly that never happened. Shame if he does, I was there when Jan put him away, it was a lovely site to behold.
 
Probably a good idea, Luke has had a hell of a career and there's not much point continuing when he has other options outside of fighting.

It's amazing Bisping was the one who started the downfall.

I think he's been retired mentally since Bisping put him on his ass. He should let the whole fighting thing go completely and focus on other things. Too hittable anyway.

Seriously, Luke should call it a career. Not because he isn't a talented fighter but his health and well being is more important. He's still a young guy and can make money through other outlets.

no need to hit a man while he is down. imo best for him is to hang the gloves, he has suffered some nasty KOs lately, no need for more punishment.
He was strikeforce and ufc champ, time to enjoy the retirement
