When he took the belt from Weidman in brutal fashion, people were saying he was gonna be the next dominant champ after Silva.

His striking defense isn't what it needs to be. Belfort knocked his ass silly as well.

Otherwise, don't know if anything went wrong. Bisping pulled off an upset and Romero is a dangerous guy on the feet for anyone.

Never had a great chin... thinking that will be his downfall at 205 just like 185... But might have to cook up some popcorn and watch him vs the top strikers... :eek:

he hasn't

Rockhold > prime Anderson

205 is a horrible move
he'll either retire or go bellator

I don't believe a glass chin has EVER gone back to iron.

I will form my opinion in 6-10 months when Chuck faces Tito.

He thinks je a striker.. he isnt.. all his best wins is when he instinctively took it to the ground

The move up may help his chin.

2 of his losses were because he relies on that check right hook too much

eh I still love watching the guy fight

very good skills, all around

just tuck that damn chin, Luke

address your boxing defense deficiencies and do work

He's still a very good fighter with a below average chin. He's lost to TRT-tor who is a monster, got cocky against Bisping and got caught (humble pie), and Romero is a monster.

Make no mistake about it, kicks are nasty and his grappling is ELITE, but he doesn't have the chin

His chin appears to be a bit of an issue.

With that said, he lost to TRT-tor (an inhuman machine that nobody can beat other than juiced to the tits Jon Jones) and Yoel Romero (who is an animal and can beat anyone). His only bad loss is to Bisping, but he had like a week to prepare for him after doing a full training camp of preparation for Weidman who is a COMPLETELY different fighter. I don't think Rockhold has necessarily been "exposed" at all.

The only things that got exposed in Rockhold's UFC losses are:

-the quality of the TRT in Vitor Belfort's syringes;
-that Bisping actually had more power in his hands than anyone here thought;
-how fucking nasty Romero's power is.

When the Bisping win comes to mind, I suggest to watch their first fight...pretty much like GSP/Serra but upside down.

And regarding the other two, they were just nasty strikes who likely would have put a bear to sleep.

I don't think the move to 205 is a good idea, and I think Gustafsson would absolutely maul him if they fight. But at 185, he's one of the four guys that gravitate around the title for the next two years or so maybe.

Define exposed? He lost to Romero, A guy who could literally knock anyone out with 11 KO's in 13 wins.

And he got fluke KO'd by Michael Bisping.

Rockhold has 14 finishes in 16 wins. He lost to TRTVitor but there is no shame in being wiped out by a roid monster.

16-4 is a pretty damn good record when you look at the level of competition he has faced. Every fight he has been in since 2010 has been against either a top 10 or top 5 opponent.

And well frankly, he seems to be doing quite well outside the ring.

dude is extremely skilled, has some of the best kicks and one of the most terrifying top games in MMA.

just has a suspect chin and really bad defense.

belfort was juiced to the tits, most people think the bisping loss was a bit flukey and he fought like a cocky idiot, and i thought he could've fought the romero fight smarter, but that was a huge fuckin shot that probably would've knocked anyone at MW on their ass.
