The new rankings have been released by the UFC and it appears that Luke Rockhold is ranked at number three on the pound for pound list ahead of guys like Cruz, RDA, and Lawler. Do you think that is where he should be ranked?

When I think of "best of the best," his name isn't the 3rd one that comes to mind.

Yes. Rockhold is awesome and beats everyone in the MW div right now.

P4P is a fantasy land, does it really matter?

Nope, prob not even top 5.
Then again I wouldn't have Cruz at 4 either.
I got Lawler, Werdum and RDA above both those guys.

Cozad is number 1, so anyone else is obsolete.

Division rankings are irrelevant and rarely dictate anything, including match-ups. P4P rankings matter even less.

this... Does anyone ever remember who the third pound for pound fighter is??
The number 1 pound for pound fighter is all anyone cares about. Its a meaningless discussion

He smashed Weidman who was on a tear.

I have no problem with him at #3.

P4P doesn't really mean anything. That being said, I'd say #3 behind Jones and MM makes sense. Not sure why Rockhold isn't taken as seriously as champion as he should be.

P4P rankings don't mean anything. You shouldn't even pay attention to them.

Not as bad as Conor at #3 was, but still pretty bad, yeah.

I'm sick of this P4P bullsheit --Stop following it.
If half those media members that are in the voting panels even do Jiu Jitsu to start of with,
then I'll take a peek. Do they even do light pad work. Any of them? --Aren't they just a bunch of writers?

I want the MMA scene to be more about the match ups, where even the #16 can
be matched up against the #1 and create upsets. See it long enough and the MMA scene
will probably become more than rankings, but about the heart and fight of a person.
About the incremental work one has put in. But how the hell do you sell that in the USA hahaha.
Kickboxing is probably one of the most exciting form of striking and it struggles to be promoted there.
Your media structures are making you miss out on exciting fights.
