Hey Sherdoggies, I do a podcast with my brother which was initially to chronicle my transition from New Yorker to North Carolinian and is now just me and him shooting the shit, and we're started having guests. Last week I had From Autumn To Ashes/The Wanted/Rita Ora/Jim Beuer guitarist Brian Deneeve on. Tomorrow I'm having my buddy from back north Luke Cummo on and I was wondering if there's anything anyone would like me to ask him or get into. It's just going to be a regular conversation type podcast, I'm not going to interview him really.

He's of course weird as hell and totally off on his own trip, which is part of why he and I kind of connected, and should make for an interesting podcast. He wants to make junk food illegal, is against MMA because of the brutality ("we're all somebody's baby, no one's baby should have their head bashed in for fun"), and strongly believes in medicinal pot. He also developed some kind of "no injury" (?!) training system.

Who the fuck knows where this one is going to go.

Man I don't know, I think you just should say "go" and let him spin. Seemed cool on TUF, I wished he kept fighting.

Haha, awesome. It's still to this day wild as hell to see how much those guys have done and how far they took it. I've known Brian almost 20 years, I played bass in the band he was in before he joined FATA (Rob from FATA who was also in Warship with Fran was also in the band), and I love how he not only did that shit, but has been able to parlay it into all this other shit. He's a legit good dude. We rode the Gravitron and the teacups at the county fair on ecstasy the weekend I joined the band. Homeboys for life after that shit.

Serious question: Is Cummo the original mma piss drinker, or did Machida beat him to that?

That's actually kind of the plan, but I want to have some shit in my pocket to go to or lead the conversation if it starts getting boring. Incomprehensible or nonsensical is fine. I just don't want it to get wack.

I'm sure we'll get into plenty of head injury discussion.

Excellent! See, this is why I came on here and asked for a little help from the doggies. That's gold, right there. Pun. Mother. Fucking. Intended.

Biatch!

When people have those guess the fighter threads, Luke Cummo is always my answer.

Machida has probably been doing it his whole life becase of his dad though, if I had to guess. But I will be sure to ask.

In general I'm not interested in podcasts, but for Cummo I'll gladly tune in.

As him to bring you some food!

Just reading his facebook every now and then gives me the feeling I peeked into the secrets of the universe: https://www.google.be/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwiD2f6l8ovOAhXrAMAKHQR-AYoQFgggMAA&url=https://www.facebook.com/lukecummo&usg=AFQjCNF2dX6E4hI80sOxL8aBgbBpniV1gA&bvm=bv.127984354,d.d24

If you enjoy Luke's Facebook, I highly recommend Nick Serra's Facebook. He unfriended me, I think because he realized I was goofing on him. I never met the guy, but Luke's known him forever.

It's actually going to be done over the phone because I moved to North Carolina and he's still up on Long Island.

Why did he become a martial artist, and is it really true that he quit for "moral reasons"? Does he practice things like tai chi or yoga? Has he ever done acid?
Did he start out with Muay Thai, or was he like a Karate Kid or TKD?
Did he play the Commodore or Atari?

And what are they putting in our junk food that they're not telling us??

Ask him what he thinks of everyone roiding. I am assuming he fought clean.

my friend trained with luke for 6 months like 10 years ago and luke would make him jump rope and hit bags and just sit and play video games not giving a shit about him. he wasnt a dick at all but he could literally care less about the paying customer.

Holy crap I remember your Carl Winslow looking AV from WAY BACK, my first stint on sherdog back in 2006. Remember you saying it was from a video game or something and not actually carl winslow

Shit went well! The podcast will be up tomorrow.

He discussed how he is directly responsible for Matt Serra beating GSP, he got into the lasting impacts of the head injuries he sustained training and fighting, claiming his home as a church so that he doesn't pay taxes (and literally said "come at me, bro" to the IRS and likened himself to Rocky in Rocky V, ie: sue me for what; I guess because he forgot you can go to prison for some shit) and his friend Johnny sang to me.

Shit got weird, I enjoyed it.

Shit, I totally forgot where it came from. Maybe it was a video game. I think I just found it online.

I remember in the original, it was a gif and his smile would sparkle every few seconds. I think that's on my old computer that got scrapped when I moved.

@MindTravel I wonder if he prefers Indica or Sativa?
Also, does he recommend any strains?

Edit: damn. I missed bringing on the question.

Sounds fun.
I'll definitely listen.
If I'm ever in the neighborhood, I'll visit church Cummo.
