I ran into Ray Mysterio Jr at Tacos El Gordo in Chula Vista back in 2000. He was alone, behind us in line and had this cholo mean mug demeanor going on. I guess he was worried if whether or not we were gang members (I was home on leave with my brother). I imagine it was because we were looking at him and quietly debating to ourselves if he was indeed the RMJr. The tattoos and green contacts gave him away and we were nervous he was about to kick our asses in a taco shop

I watched a video of a wrestling death a few years back with Mysterio in the match. It was a tag team match and the dude got hit so hard on the ropes and bounced off, it crushed his chest, and he had a heart attack. No one knew. Dude was in the ropes, and Rey went for his 619 but the dude didn't move so Rey went over his head, the match carried on, while paramedics got the dude out of the ring onto a stretcher.

Was shocking and very sad.
