Not surprising. He was always one of the physically biggest LWs we've seen. Walks around 200-lbs and for fight night rehydrates to ~180-lbs (not that many LWs have ever rehydrated 25-lbs - Tibau, Felder, Dober, being a few). He usually weighed high-170s to 180-lbs on fight week, but for WW he'll likely be around 190-lbs.

Just a bigger target for when JDM sleeps him.
I have no real Dog in That Fight, but I would like to see a GOOD HARD EXTENDED battle.

So many fights end FAR too quickly (like the Aspinall vs Gane fight) so i'm readyt for an epic battle.

I do think it'll take a special performance to beat Makhachev at 170lbs. He's just very dangerous and I'm sure motivated to gain a new belt.

He hired Overeem as his dietician after seeing Overeem eat

He looks fat, no abs.
I thought he would not want to do such a big cut for the weight ins, but if this is new footage then his water cut will be similar or worse than for his LW fights. Say goodbye to that chin.

Retaining a lot of water from his first cycle of creatine…

Last week he said he was 87 kg (191-lbs) and planned to be at 83 kg (183-lbs) leading into the weight-cut on fight week. He isn't going to be cutting the same proportion of weight he did at LW.

He said he started taking Russian "creatine"

Even before that, he was noticeably bigger than Belal, who was similar in size to JDM.

guess you never seen a fat guy
For an athlete that doesn’t compete at heavyweight, he looks like retaining a lot of water and fat.
I seriously thought he wanted to avoid the water cut, but it looks like he didn’t want to diet down to low bf and is still cutting a ton of water.
They sure love their tiramisus.

It will look like the Hooker fight, it will be done under a round.
