Jan was all Jan there Gus really exploided a lot of holes
 
Jan obviously improved since that fight. Izzy is a better striker than Gus in almost every way.

Jans wrestling was whack in this fight but Gus wrestling was always underrated. Only man to ever take Bones down. Took DC down twice.
 
Gus was an excuse for people to focus on him instead of Junky Jones.

Dude isnt that good and hype IMO

Jones on a Mike Tyson \ Douglas binge and now Gus \ Douglas is the shit

not necesarily other than jones dc and rumble no one has given gus issues on the feet and jan turned into a wrestler jas s striking was in there as good as ever but also gus is by far the most complete figther jan has ever face just think about reyes and izzy and good but one dimensional rockhold and corey are not too good of strikers and cant t take a punch to save their lives and old washed up jacare really keep it competitive

That makes Anthony smith underrated goat. He beat rua (a legit great), didn’t go Aljo on Jon Jones(goat) for that illegal strike and beat Gus (in your opinion a top 3 all time)
 
This was when Jan had left his coach. He has spoken about how bad of an idea that was becuase the new coaches tried to change how he wrestled and grappled etc etc. Jan didn't start getting back to form until he got back with his original coach. He's 9-1 since reuniting with his coach.
