So I´m still alive and kicking again...

Those who don´t know me - nevermind.
Those who do - hi :)

Not the best video to tell from. But i think i like your footwork.

<5>

Nice combinations, footwork, head movement, evasion, and rhythm. Do you do kicks too or just boxing? Overall, fluid boxing. What style of a boxer would you be classified as?

as a fellow old man who jus got back into it. keep that jab alive, use it as an opening and move behind it don't just hit thebag with three jabs on a straight course. jab pivot and then throw your kicks.
also jab uppercut hook is your friend throw them mixed up and when you feel comfortable mix up some kicks in the sequence jab roundhouse hook etc..

Those strikes are kinda intimidating. By the way, who da fuck are you?

He’s an OG sherdogger from the standup forum.

@Kyryllo I remember seeing you’re Brazilian kick tutorial way back in the day.

Haven’t seen you around in these forums for years I think.

Good to have you back.

Developed arthritis in the knee, had to take it easy with taekwondo and eventually focused on rugby. Had a horrible injury 5 years ago, tore a bunch of muscles in my hamstrings. Took me about two years to recover and be somewhat fit again and not feeling like a cripple. I did not train any combat sports since the injury. Did some TKD coaching till three years ago before I moved to Switzerland.

Last week I noticed they have put up a punching bag in my gym, took some old ass gloves next time I went there and decided to punch and kick a little - that there is the result.

I did not train or hit anything for about 5 years and now I actually see that my boxing is crisper than it has ever been <45>

My legs are stiff as hell though and kicking with the left (injured) leg is agony, the hams completely shut down for a few seconds after every kick. I am trying to box and kick for 10-20 mins each time I am in the gym and will maybe look into joining a KB/MT club in summer, if my body keeps up.

And overall, I stopped enjoying arguing with people on the internet. ;)

Thanks. I am actually not a boxer, or I don't really see myself this way. ;) I did box as kid (almost 30 years ago) also did some kickboxing but was never serious about it. I am actually a TKD guy, but will never be able to practice it again due to injuries and I don't really want to.

Old man salute. I haven't yet gotten back into it. That there was basically my first short session in 5 years. Jabbing felt super awkward for some reason! I'll try to do such sessions for myself regularly, see how my body reacts to this and maybe join a club later this year.

Dude you're kind of famous thanks to Cracked.com - thats how i discovered you! I still suck as the brazilian kick even after years of trying to do it from your tutorial... maybe i should improve my mobility.
