I'm with ya TS. Man, I have eaten a lot of those, especially when drunk.

I actually had an exchange sudent ask me if it was a national dish here, lol. There's parts of Copenhagen where every third shop or so is a Kebab "restaurant". Though they all get hopefully outmatched by my local turkisk restaurant. God bless them, they have repaired my hangover more times than I can count now.

Lamb Kebabs here in the UK are generally sub par, especially the "morning after" repeats, maybe in addition to the Kebabs number one condiment......alcohol.

My favourite after drink food, in fact it's delicious at any time, is the chicken gyro:-

Smear that with tzatziki and away you go!
 
It's so funny that doners are Europe's drunk food. Ate them all the time while stationed in Germany, haven't had one though since coming back to the States...I wonder if there are any places in Long Beach?
