Lombard would have done he same thing to Rory in the first round and there is little doubt about that. Lombard could beat Rory in the 1st round by KO or TKO, but with that said if Rory got out of the 1st round then Rory would win by TKO.

I think Rory sustained to much punishment against Lawler though and will not be the same.

Rory hasn't fought since the Lawler fight so there is no subsequent fight to really conclude that his fighting skills have diminished.

Rory also has a a lot more steam on his strikes than Magny does and he'd likely easily avoid haymakers with his jab and kick. Tristar would prepare him to avoid a blitz.
 
I think most people would agree that Lombard is capable of rushing and hurting anyone at welterweight in the early part of the first round, but that doesn't mean he would win the fight. Rory can take punishment too.
 
Lomroid would go berserk on him early, but Rory easily has the skills to hang in there and weather the onslaught. He would finish Hector in the second, as soon as he deflated.

Rory easily beats Lombard and his three minute gas tank.
 
Rory doesn't have Magny's insane reach so Lombard doesn't have to wing as many punches thus noy draining his gas tank as fast. With that said, Rory still beats him in round 2.

You might be right. Lombard is awesome. Maybe if Wonderboy beats Rory we can see.

Better yet, maybe lombard pops again, gets released, Rory actually does walk on his contract, and we see this fight in Rizin or OneFC. Now that would be fucking awesome.
 
Honestly Lombard has a chance at decimating anyone in the first round at WW and MW as well.

LMFAO at you bringing up Lombard almost getting a finish and concluding that he would destroy Rory in that moment. Rory can take a punch just fine, did you not see the Lawler fights?
 
Magny's a stud. But if you think he can withstand damage that Rory can't and is harder to bully around then you're a fool.

Rory is stronger, more proven against top competition and more lethal than Magny. When Lombard isn't leading fresh in the first round, he has absolutely no game and he's basically lost on his feet. Imagine what a distance and footwork specialist like Rory would do. He would completely tear him appart then get a ferocious finish.. look how good Magny looked in the clinch against Lombard in the second round, then picture what Rory did to Lawler in the 3rd and 4th rounds of their fight.

why is it hilarious? please explain. Lombard is one of the most blatant PED offenders in the UFC and has the body of an amateur body builder. You actually think it is hilarious when people point that out.

besides you boy got tooled last night and was sucking wind like an asthmatic before the end of the second round. He kind of sucks, considering how little all that juicing helped him.
