Only thing he's doing is being straight with everyone. He knew he'd need to start slow (risky but worked). He didn't have a full camp. Yeah McGregor hits hard but Nate gets hit by lots of people.

The worst is when he wins a fight and tells everybody that he won with a broken knee or how the other camp is full of losers "winners think about winning, losers think about winners" after ko'ing Aldo

it just reaffirms what everybody has been saying about Mendes being screwed over by being thrown in against McGregor on 2-week notice.
