Quite the opposite actually. It might be the end of Wolverine (for now), but the X-Men shared universe is just getting bigger.

The next X-Men sequel is titled X-Men: Dark Phoenix and it will revolve around Jean Grey becoming the Dark Phoenix.

Next year, they'll release the X-Men spinoff movie New Mutants, based on the comic book of the same name, featuring the students from Xavier's school.

There's Deadpool 2, the sequel to the hit R-rated action comedy. They already cast their Cable.

Cable and Deadpool will eventually be part of the new team, X-Force.

Channing Tatum is attached to play Gambit in his own solo movie.

On the TV side:

There's a new Fox show called The Gifted from Burn Notice creator, which is set in the X-Men movie universe. They recently released their first teaser.

There's also the X-Men spinoff series Legion but this is NOT set in the X-Men movie universe. They just finished season one. The show is terrific. It's very different from the normal comic book shows. You should watch it if you still haven't.

I have yet to see a X-Men universe live action movie that was any good. This wasn't the Wolverine I read in comic books.

How true to Old Man Logan was this? I didn't read that yet.

The repeated F words and gore wasn't necessary, yet they only managed one far away brief bare boobs scene.

Was X24 from the comics?

The movie Logan is not based on Old Man Logan as earlier reports indicated. It's an original story.

No, X-24 is an original character made for the movie.

I can see why they went with an original story for this one though because the actual Old Man Logan series was a bit much for the big screen I think. I mean I would have thought it was awesome but I do not think that it would have gone over so well with the masses. Seeing Wolverine straight murdering folks in supreme gore mode was awesome but an actual Old Man Logan would have gone well beyond what was done in this film in terms of gore and storyline.

For those who didn't read the comics you should, it was pretty awesome.

Interesting to see so many mixed opinions on Logan now. I seem to recall feeling like the only guy who had issues with it. Movie had so much potential and they didn't live up to it.
Fu fox!

Wait... there are people who actually didn't like Logan????

I've been one of Hugh Jackman's biggest detractors in his portrayal of Wolverine for over a decade now, and even I can readily admit that IMO, Jackman deserves a fucking Oscar for this shit. He left it all in the cage in this movie. It was an incredible performance in an incredible movie. It's one of my favorite comic book movies of all time. This is the Wolverine that I've always been waiting for.

Logan was nigh perfection.

Finally saw this. I enjoyed the Western Feel, I think the director made 3:10 to Yuma right? The action scenes were on point with slow moments in between which was a nice pace. It added more tension.

Grade: A-

My buddy haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaated it, after it took me months of trying to sell him on it. He went in looking to hate it, tho. I'm almost to the point of writing him off as having no taste, which is a fate far worse than death itself. His problem is that it didn't deserve sympathy, didn't earn it. I concede LOGAN makes a lot of easy moves to wow the crowd and pull at heartstrings, but lordy did he hate it. I really thought otherwise but you know Monicas these days: there's no discounting years of vehemence.

Conversely, he will not brook one ill word against the MCU. Those films tick all his boxes, and how he hates LOGAN in light of this staggers me.

I gotta agree. All these superhero movies are akin to throwing a load of shit at the wall and seeing what sticks. Just because a couple are good doesn't mean you gotta do a movie on every. Single. One. Aquaman and Gambit having their own movies? I mean I guess I was wrong about WW but I just cannot see it.

This was fantastic. Easily one of the best superhero movies ever.

Logan is without a doubt the most tragic hero.

Love that her emotional iq is so low. She goes to the rage real quick. Easily one of my favorite heroes, and without a doubt the best female on screen so far.

Fox needs the next movie to be about the group of kids meeting some mutants in canada, then going back to stopthe corn syrup from canceling the mutant gene. It's the most logical story

@Secret Agent why the name change

If i could go back, I might give it a 6. I mean, wtf was it doing?

When this came out i thought it was great, upper tier type stuff. Now that I've watched it at home I feel I overrated the heck out of it. Still good overall.

It's funny because Logan when you break it down is a middle finger to the MCU and I'm a big fan of that as well. Logan is also a tribute to old Westerns and plays as such, Logan is the violent do gooder of a violent world trying to protect a peaceful future he believes he doesn't belong in or deserve to be a part of.

Yeah, I could see Logan as an Eastwood-like role.
