Wasn't Agent zero Maverick in the first Wolverine movie

From what I can remember Agent Zero was an asian guy in the movie?

But hell, that doesn't really matter I suppose and Maverick does change his monicker to Agent Zero in the comics at some point.

I'd like yellow suit Maverick though.

Wolverine was one of my favorite marvel characters, probably second only to the Punisher, and I really like Hugh Jackman, but the Wolverine movies have really under-delivered to me. All the X-men movies as well.

Not gonna lie, that trailer made me forget this movie is probably going to blow.

Looks pretty good, hopefully they can break the Fox MCU trend.

Yeah it was.

"hur dur, the third movie is always the worst." - Jean Grey

You're going to put out that dogshit X-Men Apocalypse and sling mud at Return of the Jedi? Fuck you, Bryan Singer. Fuck you.

If Fox is smart (they're not), they'll make up for this piece of shit movie by giving us a proper Age of Apocalypse movie in the future. Correct all the mistakes they did with Apocalypse and remake him into something that is more true to the cartoon and comics. Give us a bigger villain. With a deeper voice. Someone that preaches about survival of the fittest, god dammit.

Such a great animated show. Thanks for posting it.

I thought the trailer looked like crap. It's just them at their current ages sort of chatting. Where is Wolverine on the farm with a family, being a pacifist?

International Trailer for LOGAN Shows Why the Film is R-Rated

Logan-Trailer-102016-Dragonlord.jpg

20th Century Fox has released the first official trailer for Logan, the third solo movie for Wolverine, and it is absolutely amazing. This is probably the best trailer I've seen this year. There's an overall sense of sadness from the emotionally-charged footage of an aged Logan (Hugh Jackman) and a decrepit Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart).

But what makes the trailer so awesome is the use of Johnny Cash's haunting and powerful cover of "Hurt." Allow me to brag a little but I, Dragonlord, was the first one to use that song for my Old Man Logan movie adaptation six months ago. How cool is that.

Directed by James Mangold (The Wolverine), the film also stars Dafne Keen as Laura Kinney/X-23, Boyd Holbrook as Donald Pierce, Richard E. Grant as Nathaniel Essex and Stephen Merchant as Caliban. Logan opens on March 3, 2017.

Synopsis: Set in the future of 2024, Logan and Professor Charles Xavier must cope with the loss of the X-Men when a corporation lead by Nathaniel Essex is destroying the world leaving it to destruction, with Logan’s healing abilities slowly fading away and Xavier’s Alzheimer’s forcing him to forget. Logan must defeat Nathaniel Essex with the help of a young girl named Laura Kinney, a female clone of Wolverine.

I wanted to like it, but I don't.

I didn't like the use of Hurt. It felt like that was the 8th time I've seen Hurt on an "older man redemption" story movie trailer. If they started with that, then segued into the hardest part of NIN's version as the action kicked in, or another harder song, maybe... but still it just felt like the way too obvious choice.

And I know it's Logan, I understand the idea is 'mutants are wiped out', but if his main adversary is a young buff dude who knows how to put on sunglasses in a super-cool way... meh. They should've done more than just flash to Caliban, give us some idea why you even showed him.

It's not Old Man Logan, and it's not an Xmen movie. But it seems like it's trying to be both without coming close to achieving the goal either way. I hope it's just the bad taste Apocalypse left in my mouth, but that was disappointing.

I feel like your coming up with way to many assumptions in a trailer that's less than 2 minutes.

Here's what I took from the trailer. Hint: it's far far less than what you did.

1. I love that song.
2. They better not fuck this up.

What are the odds that the director of Walk the Line would have a Johnny Cash tune in the trailer for his new movie?

Yes, Johnny Cash is awesome. Yes, his version of Hurt is epic. Yes, I admit, that trailer got me in the feels.

But, it's got to be the easiest thing in the world to think of to do. "Hey, we need a song for the trailer." "Just use Hurt; Mangold did the Cash biopic. It's a no-brainer". Makes me wonder how many "no-brainer" ideas they used when making the actual film.

That, and the fact that the guy who wrote the Green Lantern movie wrote this one leaves me feeling unmoved about the prospects of this movie.

Um.... Ok. I'm confused because I loved the song and was hoping they didn't fuck this up before the trailer. I still love the song and still hope it's a good movie. So..... yeah. Sorry if what I wrote seemed contrary to that. Because it wasn't.

Yes, the trailer I just watched, seemed to me, the guy watching it, that the trailer, was walking a fine line and not existing in a new middle ground.

When you see "i feel" and "seems like" they aren't assumptions being made, they're interpretations being shared.

For the record, I love ALL Cash. Even the religious stuff. I was referring specifically to how he put his own unique, dark spin on the stuff he covered as he got toward the end of the road.

Could not agree more, brother. Hurt was like taking a right hand from Prime Fedor, straight in the Feels:(
