I've seen a bunch of people talking about "Loading" in some of the creatine threads. What exactly does "Loading" mean, And what are the benifits / down sides to it?
Loading refers to taking creatine 3-5 times a day for a few days in order to saturate your muscles and then you take it once a day from then on in order to maintain the levels in your muscles. I fully admit that I haven't really kept up with the whole "loading" debate but when I last checked, loading just got you from A to B faster although you can still get to B without loading and just taking Creatine once a day (it will of course take longer though).
Does that make sense? I'm not sure if I'm explaining it right.
When I load I put on 5-7 lbs in that week. I've never not loaded but I hear you will get the same gains just takes longer. The down side is horrible gas.
