LnP wrestlers are f**ked; heel kicks to the kidney will be the biggest rules change as the fighter on the bottom was not allowed to strike the fighter in top positions kidney with his heel when mounted. A dangerous attack for its sensitive target as well as it's speed; one can easily throw 9 kicks in 3 seconds, short and with the heel.

This foul has been one of the biggest advantages for wrestlers fighting in America, therefore, this must be treated as a treasonous act against the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. I have no qualms with regards to my civic duty. I will personally report those involved with updating the Unified Rules at ABC Conference 2016 to President Trump, recommending deportation and/or fines and/or prison for all involved.

God Bless.

We'll see. I have my doubts that these changes make it into the UFC.

But this does force guard passing.

The new definition of a "downed opponent" offers a bigger change.

A lot of stalling is due to the wrestlers opponent putting a few fingers down to protect from knees.

Your favorite fighters could learn how to sprawl, properly, then lay-and-pray would be a non-issue.

They were fucked well before this. LnP was overtaken by skill years ago.

I didn't know it was illegal in the first place. I bet big weightcutters will be thinking twice before messing up their kidneys.

Oh thank god, finally seeing 12 to 6 elbows would be such a relief. So silly how they can't be thrown that way as is.

I approve of all three proposed changes to MMA pro fights.

The 3 proposed limitations for AMATEUR MMA (no knee strikes to the face/head WHILE STANDING + no elbow strikes to the head/face WHILE STANDING + no leglocks) is absolutely terrible though.

Weird, I can remember the refs warning fighters using heel strikes to avoid the spine, but they have never warned for kidney strikes as far as I've seen.

Always thought this was legal already....
