Octagon control implies she was actually in control of the action. She was getting setup and baited the whole time. She fell for almost every trap Valentina layed for her.

Its been done in combat sports for decades even if guys clearly lost. Like Roberto Duran beating the shit out Ray Leonard in the 1st fight and Leonard raising his hands before Duran pushed his hand down and started cussing him out.
