When somebody is the generally agreed upon p4p #1 and defending champion, it's hard to not give some recognition to the guy who gave him his toughest fight in recent years. Also, colby has thoroughly dominated everybody else he has fought. It's simple really. Check the rankings too. He is #2

He only fought out of prime fighters abd avoided all prime fighters.
he refused to fight Leon Edwards and other fighters and cherry picked 40 years old Woodley.
Let's not forget that he avoided fresh young guys in their prime.
He beat woodley and got another title shot lol.
He got knocked out by Usman and won 1 fight against washed up Woodley and got another title fight.
He did every thing to avoid fighting upcoming top 6 fighters.

While Colby fought tooth and nails with Usman for 5 rounds straight in two fights, one with a broken jaw yet kept fighting till the 5th.

Meanwhile, all of Usman’s opponents folded early and it looked like he didn’t even take them seriously but with Colby he wouldn’t dare use his wrestling on him.

Yeah exactly like gus after he lost to jones. Only difference is colby won his fights between the usman fights and after. also, when gus got his rematch, he got dominated. When colby got his rematch, he put up a much better fight and even won on some peoples scorecards(which I dont agree with) if colby loses his next 5 or so like gus, you can @ me

Colby beat masvidal's ass. Outstruck him on the feet, had him rocked on the feet multiple times, landed a couple solid headkicks, elbowed masvidal repeatedly, and threatened with submissions. Yet apparently "all Colby did was hug" idk what fight you guys are watching, but I think you just let your hatred blind you from being objective. Its really sad and you guys need to get a grip. Claiming colby almost got knocked out, lmao you mean that 1 punch masvidal landed, where colbys knee barely buckled, he straightened back up immediately, smiled, and pressed forward again???

Colby embarrassed Masvidal on the feet and on the ground, and would do the same to most of the top 10. Stay salty you nerds. If Colby was from Nigeria or Dagestan you dweebs would love him.

Colby is a decent fighter. He has a crazy pace on the ground and on the feet. He crosses the line a lot but he is selling the fight. The trash talking isn't even that bad. He just attacks everything until he triggers someone.

A lot of them were betting on Mas for those sweet underdog odds. So when Colby wrestlef*cked him for 5 rounds as he was always likely to, they are mad that Colby didn't give Mas many chances to win.

Check out the stats for Masvidal's first fight against Usman and compare it to Masvidal against Colby, virtually identical. And while Masvidal is older/more worn now, he wasn't coming in on a 6 day camp and his last two fights gave him great experience preparing for and fighting an elite wrestler.

Makes sense why people thought it was boring then. They spent the entire 25 minutes desperately hoping masvidal could do something to colby. When masvidal didnt do shit, they thought it was an uneventful fight because that's all they focused on. If you watched the fight objectively, you know that colby put it on him, and fought a high pace, aggressive fight. Even while they were on the feet.
