Apparently there are live fight on the ESPN NEWS channel before the ESPN card starts in and hour and a half.

ESPN NEWS (9 PM ET/6 PM PT)
Jesse Hart vs. Thomas Awinbono
Teofimo Lopez vs. John Delperdang

This Lopez kid is good but he sure is fighting slow for being in a huge mismatch.

And now the showcase fighter is badly cut. Not a good look for someone undefeated fighting a guy with 14 losses.

Turned into a war but pretty one-sided still. The can brought in from Mexico is refusing to go down and throwing some bombs while he's badly hurt.

Im thinking the main and co-main events will be similar to Matthysse/Kiram from last week.

Like Kiram, both opponents have not fought outside their own countries and fought guys with shit records.

Figures. I guess it's a night of rooting for the underdogs!

Teofimo was on our podcast this week. pretty nice kid. then when we brought his dad on, things changed a lot. lol. he called canelo and ggg trash, etc. said teofimo will be the greatest fighter ever. worth a listen if you get a chance

Sounds like Danny Garcia's dad. I didn't like his attitude in this fight anyway. Matched up against a can on short notice and still hitting him after the bell and talking shit and getting one extra punch in after the final bell. Looking forward to seeing him lose.

Wow!

Dude had never been stopped and he didn't even last one minute!

its so weird when you actually know the guys a little bit compared to when you only see them on tv. because i would be exactly like you if that is all i saw. but knowing him a little, i really like the kid. he was actually really quiet and humble before the show and even during. then once his dad came on, he got a lot more cocky. he definitely has talent, but i too would have liked to see him get the guy out of there. looks like his msg fight is out the window now

It is pretty impossible to judge guys based off just what happens in the ring. As fans we just make assumptions and fill in the blanks however we can. You get to see the actual reality of things which must be nice.

Yeah that cut looked bad. Like the champ Sean O' Grady said every single day of his life... "Cuts take 100 days to heal because they heal 1% percent every day!!'

Crap. I didn't know this was on. Good move by ESPN. Like when Showtime was covering as many bouts as they could between Showtime Extreme and the main card on Showtime.

its kind of weird how it usually is. it seems the bigger the jerk a guy seems on tv the nicer he is and vice versa. not always the case of course, but it just seems that way. especially with the mma guys.
