He was never good, consistently lost to top guys.

Claim to fame was beating the ghosts of Rashad and Shogun, washed up Lombard, then later he had a couple of grappling slop fests over Volkan (always a B-tier fighter) and washed Gus.

I think he had a window there, but it just happened to coincide with LHW being a murderer's row.

My guess is that he's still jumping the dream now that he doesn't need to roll through DC, Rumble, and Jones to get a title shot.
