Looking back one year from this month, major main event changes have occurred within a few weeks of the event at UFC 189, UFC 196, UFC 197, UFC 199, and UFC 200. I am not sure if I missed any more but I thought I would at least include the major events.
I just can't imagine this occuriing in any other sport, although admittedly I don't follow many other sports. And for team sports, the only equivalent would of course be somehow any entire team changing opponents which is just silly to think about.
Does this occur in boxing or kickboxing? I just think it has to be so hard to be in Dana's shoes as a promoter - these constant last minute changes reflect poorly on the promotion when in reality there are just way too many variables involved in making sure 2 individuals can be at the same place at the same time to compete with 100% preparation and health.
