The oldest LW champ ever in the UFC was Sean Sherk at age 33, and he only held the belt a few months. Tony is almost 37 and probably in his 40s in fighter years. His time has come and gone. I don't think he'd ever have beaten Khabib, but I definitely think he could've been champ in the pre-Khabib era (2012-2017). He beat two former LW champs (RDA and Pettis) and I like his chances vs. Bendo and Alvarez back in the day (not as sure about Conor...depends which version shows up). But Tony is done. Stick a fork in the poor guy.

It’s not like he got finished. He just came up against a technically better fighter. He’s got plenty of good fights left in him and a bunch of money he can still make. As long as he isn’t getting brutally KOed, keep fighting.

was an easy bet for me against him lol..I never bought into the hype..Lando Vannata almost ended his life ffs

Khabib mauls Tony 100/100 times

That fight was never competitive

Most likely, but if they met in Khabib's earlier/greener days (say around the Tibau fight) when Tony was much closer to his physical prime (and he was an animal back then), I can see it being pretty entertaining and maybe competitive. It would be a true mauling now.

Nah, he can probably beat other old guys like Guida or Diego Sanchez, but he's not beating younger Top 10 guys any more. Those days are over.

In Bellator. Haha

I can't stand Tony as a person but as a fighter he has plenty of more fights in him. Won't get ever the strap but he's not ready for the fork yet. We need someone to slap around all these new fighters coming in
