All of the silly sex ones are not taken, but likely just not allowed in the first place and thus come up as not available.

I loathe personalized plates - it's the precursor to the facebook/selfie culture we have now. If I ever even considered getting one it would be to confuse any potential reporting - Random string of I's and L's and 1's, Q's and O's and 0's - eg 1IO0I1Q sort of deal, but learned even that is not allowed/illegal. When you get personalized plates you have to explain a bit of what it says/why you want it and having such a place for confusion purposes isn't allowed.

That makes sense. I just put them in the website and they came up unavailable.

I understand why a lot of people don't like personalized plates, there is a plethora of dumb ones out there. But I personally like them sometimes, especially when they are a specific reference to something I like. I've never been reported for driving and neither has anyone I know, so I don't really need to dodge the law.
