He does deserve some punishment for such selfish irresponsible behavior. He knew he was in contact with an Ebola patient and yet didn't give a shit about all the lives he risked.

After he gets well , toss him in jail for a couple of years.

Like I said, post 9/11 everybody wants to define whoever they least like as terrorists, regardless of the word's definition. The political motive is the key ingredient.

Sure, the government does stupid shit all the time. I think it'd be a tough sell when even the FBI acknowledges the political requirement.

Exactly, I'd do the same thing. The only way to prevent it is to black-list all travelers from Africa. That way they know before they go they aren't coming back for a LONG time.

someone said a couple years ? are you kidding me ? lol .. this guy has caused a mass panic and the authorities are running around trying to track down 100 people last I checked and his family is isolated in their own place .. because of his irresponsibility and only thinking of himself .. he's done plenty wrong .. he better hope no one dies from this .. the more I read about this, the more it pisses me off .. this asshole could've just as easily flown into where I live

The story I read said the girl died the next day and he abruptly left his job and caught a plane. So, perhaps he was hoping he didn't have it, but he knew that there was a very high chance.

Btw- this guy's kid went to school for half a day after he was admitted to the hospital.

I hadnt heard that, I thought he was a citizen of Liberia only. I was under the impression he was visiting his son here.
